Actually, I’m sure it’d be something more like gTube or something. Anyway, here’s a pretty good article about whether or not Google is going to buy YouTube.
I know, most of you all don’t care about this stuff, but it interests me, so deal with it 
The thing is, I’m not sure how I feel about Google buying YouTube. If they did, they’d probably be held to higher standards and a lot of the content you find on YouTube, that you can’t find on GoogleVideo (i.e. copyrighted stuff like TV shows, or clips of them) would have to be taken down. Not that YouTube doesn’t remove thing, but there is still a lot of stuff out there that probably shouldn’t be. And that stuff is why I use YouTube. I could careless about people’s homemade videos–I want my Jon Stewart and Steven Colbert!
But, some company of course WILL buy YouTube and try to find some way to make money with it (currently, it’s not a big moneymaker–which is why they need to sell it). So if I had to pick between the big ones, Google, Yahoo, Time Warner (AOL), MS, Viacom, etc…I guess I’d have to go with Google. Yes, we know I’m a Google fangirl, but hey, I can admit I don’t like Google Video, which is why the thought of them buying YouTube intrigues me so much I think. Definately would throw them into the social networking scene.
